The HTC 608T looks a lot like their own HTC One SV in terms of design. The phone sports dual front speakers as one can see from the picture. The phone will have an 8 megapixel camera, a 4.5 inch screen with an HD resolution of 1280x720p, a 1.6 megapixel front camera while the rest is pretty obvious owing to the chipset – a PowerVR SGX 544 GPU, support for Bluetooth, WiFi, dual-SIM, 3G. The phone will be available in a choice of 3 colours, namely Red, Black and White. The phone is reported to be weighing 128g, and the dimensions are 135.75×67×9.84mm, which means the phone is not among the thinnest phones around. As for the other specs like Android version, battery size, we have no clue yet and we will have to wait and see. Although the Mediatek MT6589 is not as fast as other Cortex A9 based chips like the Exynos 4412 and the nVidia Tegra 3, it surely does its job. Saying that, we’d like to inform our readers that this will be a budget phone from HTC, and will not be competing against the likes of Sensation. The MT6589 however scores a point over the likes of Exynos 4412 when manufacturing process is concerned – the Mediatek uses the latest 28nm process while Exynos uses the 32mn manufacturing process. This means that MT6589 will not heat up as much as the Exynos and will also be more power efficient. So, although you lose a bit when it comes to performance, there are other gains in terms of power efficiency. This is all we’ve got at the moment, since the phone hasn’t officially been announced at the moment. Keep reading this space in the near future for more info.
