Specification and Key Features

Now HTC First does not offer you much with the Hardware specification or I must say that camera specs used on this phone are a big turn off but still a user has the option to try Facebook home at 24,709 INR or 450 USD (without any contract with AT&T). Facebook Home is just another application and I hope Android hackers will find a way to install the same on other devices which do not have compatibility as per Facebook. So starting off with the hardware specs then this phone has got 4.3 inches of screen with the resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The primary camera used on this phone is 5MP which can do 1080p HD video recording and can zoom up to 4 times to shoot a photograph. For video calling it has the secondary camera of 1.6 MP. HTC First is powered by 1.4 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm MSM8930 supported by 1GB RAM which is decent and now when this phone is dedicated to Facebook Home, then I think this much power is enough to run Facebook efficiently without lag. The phone will operate on latest Android Jellybean and it does not have the support for external memory slot, the total storage capacity is the 16GB which is the internal storage. It is also equipped with NFC and other common connectivity features like WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 etc and the Hotspot connectivity on HT First has the limit of 8 devices at a time. The battery strength is 2000mAh which is an average strength for the phone with this screen size and the processor and can provide the talktime of 14.3 hours (not specified whether on 2G or 3G).

Conclusion

With the contract of AT&T it is available on the 2-year basis at the price of 99.99 USD but again is it really worth to spend so much of money just for Facebook Home when you already have Samsung Galaxy Grand who have better screen and other similar specification to this phone. Well, HTC does not have any phone under this range and now they have filled the gap with this phone and try to over-price it with the advantage Facebook Home pre-installed on it. You can pre-order this phone right now from here but this phones will be released after 12th April (the day when Facebook Home will be launched).
