The device packs some serious hardware that includes a very pockatable 4.7 inch screen with a 720p HD resolution, which would be coated with Gorilla Glass for scratch resistance. The phone will feature the most popular low-budget quad core CPU – the MediaTek MT6589, which runs at 1.2GHz per core, along with a decent 1GB of RAM. Like any other budget device in the country, the Aqua HD too will feature dual SIM support. The device will come pre-installed with Android v4.2.1, like many other devices which came in the last month or so. The USP of the device will be the imaging hardware, that consists of a 13MP camera at the rear, which will come with the usual features like autofocus, geo tagging, etc. and will be assisted by LED flash. On the front, the Aqua HD will feature an impressive 5MP unit which should do a good job with video calls as well as self-portraits.
What might disappoint some is the teeny 1800mAh battery used on the device, which definitely will give you problems. Extracting a full day of battery backup would be quite a task. The phone will feature the usual connectivity set which includes 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. There are no details on pricing or availability as of yet, please stay tuned for more info on the Intex Aqua HD.
