Huawei has not compromised on the camera module of this large display device either. At the back you get a 13 MP camera with f / 2.4 aperture. The generous rear camera is accompanied by a 5-megapixel f/2.2 shooter at the front. The Mediapad X1 is only 7.18 mm thick and weighs 239 grams. Side bezels have also been trimmed substantially which leads to only 103.9 mm. of width.
The processor is Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 910 which has 4 Cortex A9 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz paired with Mali 450 MP4 GPU and 2 GB RAM. 16 GB onboard storage can be further extended by another 32 GB using MicroSD support.
The 7 inch display has 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and the entire hardware is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. The base software is Android 4.2 jelly bean and Huawei has added some interesting software tweaks like abitilty to reach home screen by double taping the screen any place any time! There is no word on the pricing and availability yet. Overall this tablet does look like an inflated smartphone rather than a tablet.
