The 10.1-inch display features Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA TRILUMINOS Display for mobile with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and lightning fast 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. The tablet can also endure water for up to 1.5 meters  for 30 minutes. Sony claims this to be the slimmest and lightest waterproof tablet with only 6.4 mm of body thickness. The RAM capacity is 3 GB and the internal memory is 16 GB. MicroSD support is also present in the device. The Chipset is same as that in Xperia Z2, Sony’s new Flagship smartphone. The tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and we expect that to be available on Xperia Z tablet too with the next software update. The imaging hardware includes 8 MP rear camera with Exmor R for mobile sensor and a 2.2 MP front camera capable of Full HD video recording. The battery capacity is 6000 mAh and connectivity options include LTE / 3G HSPA+ (Optional), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, MHL 3.0, GPS / GLONASS and NFC. The tablet will be available globally in March next month, so we won’t have to wait much longer. Xperia Z2 looks quite similar to its predecessor in terms of body design, but every part of the hardware has been upgraded in this one.
